THE HARVEST IS PLENTY!

Be a "Global Commissioner" and win souls for Christ – "the harvest is plenty". As a believer, it is important to lead others to Christ. When you look at The Christian Journey diagram, you will see what qualifies you to become a "Commissioner" - preaching the good news and leading others to Christ. As you cannot give what you do not have, it is essential you become born again and grounded in the word (bible) before you approach others. The reason is simple, you will be asked questions, and you must be able to provide answer to the best of your ability, supported with scriptures from the bible. There are still a lot of people in the world who need to hear the word of God - youtube (David Platt). You need to do your bit.

In Matthew 9:35 -38 "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

The above passage is a call on our lives to reach out to others, preach to them, support them, help them, build and develop them, encourage them, heal them, listen to them, share in their joy, sorrow, challenges, celebration, share our money, clothing, knowledge and more especially share the good news about our Lord Jesus Christ.

We live in a society that encourages a philosophy of "me first." We are so preoccupied with our own lives that we neglect the lives of others. We know that most people are less fortunate than we are, but we push that out of our minds to make ourselves feel good. We don't like to think of that starving child because it makes us feel guilty. When we think about what goes on outside of our own little world, we feel obliged to do something about it, so we remove it from our thoughts to avoid conviction and, conveniently, to avoid action.

Most "Churches" are staying within the four parapets!

This was never Jesus' idea. He said "Go into the entire world and preach the Gospel..." (Mark 16.5). The aim of this website is to stir those in the body of Christ to "GO" to the roads, out and about, office, hedges, corners, to preach the Gospel. Let's step out of our comfort zone. In Luke 10:2, Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field".

My prayer is that you take a step today, out of your comfort zone - to obey the great commission command. Start with your immediate and extended members of family; and then reach out to others in your workplace, community etc. Watch and see the ripple effect you have created.
