The Time is Now

It is estimated that over 100 people die every minute.
www.prb.org/pdf10/10wpds_eng.pdf. By the time you finish reading this message over 500 people would have died. Once a person dies, all the plans for the future cease. Career plans – education, job, ministry etc. Family plans – for your home, children, parents, spouse, siblings, and extended families friends etc. Finance plans – investments etc. Other plans - health, spiritual, church, communities and so on. Everything ceases, everything! The lifeless body is placed in coffin and buried or cremated. People come to the burial and after a few months the memories start to fade away, and slowly …. It is gone, maybe the occasional reminisce of history, but the life is gone forever. Everybody on earth today will die one day! And the question is what next? What happens after we die – have you ever thought about this? The human being is made up of a body, a soul and a spirit. The body dies and is buried and that is the end of the body. But what happens to the soul and the spirit? The real you is the soul and the spirit, the body is a shell, like a tent, a house for the real you. We have a choice to determine where we go after we die. Everyone is appointed to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and the wicked shall be turned into hell (Psalm 9:17). We can either choose heaven or hell.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, so death passed to all men, for all have sinned (Romans 5:12). We have sinned, and deserve to go to hell.

God does not want us to perish. He said in Ezekiel 33:11 - I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13)

Time is short, when are you going to call on the name of the Lord? The time is now - Acknowledge your sins, repent and admit that you need forgiveness for sins. And live a life committed to obeying God's commandments.

If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). You can call on the Lord right now and be saved. You only have to say the prayer below and mean it with all your heart:

Dear God, I confess to you that I am a sinner and that I deserve to die and go to hell forever to pay for my sins. I believe that Jesus died in my place on the cross and shed His blood for me. I now receive Jesus as my personal Saviour and ask you to forgive me of all my sins and give me eternal life; in Jesus name; Amen.
